SAVANNAH — The City of Savannah will officially open Edgemere Sackville Neighborhood Park on Savannah’s Eastside with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, May 16 at 4:00 p.m.

Edgemere Sackville Neighborhood Park is approximately one acre and features a fenced playground with benches, trash receptacles and lighting on the northern half of the site. The southern half features an open area for recreation.

The park will tie into pedestrian improvements which include sidewalks, tree lawns and pedestrian scale lighting on the east side of Cedar Street that will connect to Daffin Park.

The Cedar Street improvements, also part of Savannah Shines, are expected to be under construction in June of this year and be complete by the end of the year.
