The Gist: Roswell residents can now file open records requests in an easier and more efficient manner thanks to a new web-based system the city is implementing to handle those requests.
What’s New: Residents will be able to use an online form to make open records requests.
What the process before: Residents who wanted to make open records requests had to either email the city or download a form to fill out and either fax or hand-deliver it to city hall.
When does the new system start?: According to city officials, the new online form will be available starting October 15.

More Information: The new system, called JustFOIA, was designed specifically by government technology solutions company MCCi to help manage and track public records requests and is now used by local government agencies throughout the country.
