CHAMBLEE — Chamblee residents who would like to have a tree planted in their front yard can have one planted in their yard for just $25 through a program being offered by the city.
The City of Chamblee and Keep Chamblee Beautiful will kick off the new Front Yard Tree Program on Thursday, July 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the North DeKalb Senior Center at 3393 Malone Dr. in Chamblee.
The new Front Yard Tree Program allows homeowners to apply and to pay a $25.00 application fee to have a tree installed in the front yard by Trees Atlanta.
Professionals from Trees Atlanta, the Georgia Forestry Commission and local arborist firm Arbormedics will also be on hand to discuss the benefits of trees and will provide tips for homeowners to keep their trees healthy and will answer any tree-related questions.
City staff also will be available to talk about city tree regulations.
