ALPHARETTA — Lanes will be closed on Highway 9 between Maxwell Road and Old Milton Parkway in the City of Alpharetta Sunday for utility work, according to a statement from the Georgia Department of Transportation.
The closure, set for March 5 from 8 a.m. until noon, will be in effect to ensure the safety of drivers and work crews as Georgia Power installs utility poles near the intersection with Devore Road.
Northbound traffic on Highway 9 will be closed from just north of Maxwell Road to Old Milton Parkway. However, southbound traffic will continue to have access to the area.
Motorists approaching the closure from the north will be detoured at Maxwell Road to travel northbound on Roswell Street to Old Milton Parkway, then southbound on Highway 9.
