What Happened?: On Friday, February 10, at 6:42 p.m., a shooting and resulting homicide occurred at a home on Allegretto Circle, in Vinings.
The Victim: 31-year-old Timothy Bennett was found on the scene suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite life-saving efforts being administered, he later died from his injuries and was pronounced dead at Kennestone Hospital.
The Suspect: 36-year-old Deandra Benson-Perryman was also on the scene when officers arrived and was detained.
According to the Cobb County Police Department, an altercation between Bennett and Benson-Perryman resulted in Benson-Perryman shooting Bennett being shot multiple times.
The Arrest: Based on the information gathered, Benson-Perryman was placed under arrest. He has been charged with murder.
