A portion of Gordon Street near Hightower Street will be closed until further notice due to an emergency repair.
City of Valdosta road crews will be on site tonight to determine the cause of the road issue and extent of repairs needed. A photo released by the city shows a part of the roadway appears to have collapsed.
Traffic control and devices have been placed in the area.
