Meet Atlanta’s Manager of Nightlife and Culture

Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens has appointed Kristin Edwards as the new Manager of Nightlife and Culture, a role created to strengthen the partnership between the city and its nightlife industry. In her new position, Edwards will focus on liaising with nightlife industry leaders and providing resources and educational opportunities, including the coordination of "Training Day" workshops aimed at promoting a safe and thriving nightlife scene in Atlanta.

Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens has appointed Kristin Edwards as the new Manager of Nightlife and Culture, a role created to strengthen the partnership between the city and its nightlife industry. In her new position, Edwards will focus on liaising with nightlife industry leaders and providing resources and educational opportunities, including the coordination of “Training Day” workshops aimed at promoting a safe and thriving nightlife scene in Atlanta.

This initiative comes as part of Mayor Dickens’s efforts to foster a better relationship between the city and the nightlife community, which has led to tangible benefits for residents, visitors, and business operators. The Mayor expressed optimism about Edwards’s ability to continue building on the progress made, enhancing the city’s nightlife.

Kristin Edwards brings a wealth of experience in event management and city-business relations to her new role. She previously served as the Director of Special Events and Facilities for the City of Winder, where she was instrumental in developing community events and festivals and acted as the liaison between the city and private event organizers. Before her time in Winder, Edwards held positions at the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce and the City of Duluth, demonstrating her expertise in event coordination and community engagement.

Edwards’ academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Georgia Gwinnett College and a Master of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University. She officially assumes her role on March 28.
