ATLANTA — For the first time in over a week, the City of Atlanta will not have a curfew.
In response to protests that turned violent, the city set a 9 p.m. curfew that was in effect until Friday night when it was moved up an hour to 8 p.m.
There is no curfew in place for Saturday night.
Last Friday, a peaceful protest in downtown Atlanta erupted into violence. Crowds of protestors vandalized the CNN building, burned cars on Marietta Street and threw items, including knives at police officers.
