21-Year-Old Arrested After Ramming Stolen Vehicle Into Gwinnett Police Patrol Car

🚨 The Gist: Gwinnett Police arrested 21-year-old Kalvin Robinson after they say he rammed a stolen vehicle into a patrol car and attempted to evade capture by altering his appearance.

🔍 The Details: On the evening of April 17, in Tucker, police were alerted to a carjacking at 6330 Lawrenceville Highway. The carjacking victim reported being injured and dragged by his vehicle as it was stolen.

Officers quickly located the vehicle at 1595 East Park Place Blvd., but Robinson fled, initiating a police chase. The pursuit concluded at 1900 Rockbridge Road, where police say Robinson crashed into a patrol car, disabling it with deployed airbags, and then fled on foot. Despite losing him momentarily, police resumed the search with aerial and K9 units, eventually apprehending Robinson at the initial location after he had changed his clothes and partially shaved his head.

According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, Robinson resisted arrest but was subdued and found with a firearm.
