SAVANNAH — The City of Savannah is inviting residents, especially those living near the Hull Park area to a public meeting where updates on flood reduction investments in the Casey South Drainage Basin will be discussed.
The meeting, organized by District 4 Alderman Nick Palumbo and City staff, is scheduled for Wednesday, February 28, at 6 p.m. at the Jewish Educational Alliance.
This initiative aims to address and mitigate flooding issues in specific areas, including 54th Street from Harmon to Atlantic, 56th Street from Harmon to Reynolds, and 57th Street from Reynolds to Abercorn. The proposed improvements are a part of the city’s ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure and reduce the impact of flooding on its residents.
During the meeting, the engineering and construction team responsible for the project will provide insights into the planned improvements and what they entail for the community. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with the team, ask questions, and learn more about the steps being taken to tackle flooding in the area.
