Savannah Rallies to Provide Warmth in Freezing Weekend

🌀 The Details: The Tompkins Regional Center, located at 2333 Ogeechee Road, is set to open its doors from 7 p.m. to 8:15 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday nights, welcoming residents and their pets. Basic necessities will be provided. The Savannah Police Department and the Chatham Savannah Authority for the Homeless are on hand to transport those in need to these shelters.

🏘️ In Context: As temperatures are expected to plummet below 20 degrees, residents are advised to limit travel, stay indoors, and ensure the elderly and pets are safe and warm.
