9-Year-Old Boy Killed in Hit-And-Run in Atlanta

In a heart-wrenching incident Wednesday evening, a 9-year-old boy lost his life in a hit and run crash at 365 Cleveland Avenue in Atlanta. The Atlanta Police Department, responding to the scene around 6:26 p.m. found the young victim with critical injuries.

Despite being rushed to the hospital, the child died at the hospital.

The focus of the investigation has shifted to 58-year-old Tomasa Mendoza, whom police have identified as the driver who allegedly fled the scene. Ms. Mendoza is currently wanted on charges of homicide by vehicle.
