Georgia Weather: Warm December Temperatures Are Here To Stay

As Georgians welcome another week, they can expect a medley of warm days, sunny skies, clear nights, and the occasional shower, according to the latest weather forecasts.

Starting today, the state basks under mostly sunny skies, with temperatures peaking near a comfortable 70 degrees. However, residents should brace for an uptick in wind speeds, as the southwest wind is set to increase from a gentle 5-10 mph to a more robust 10-15 mph by the afternoon. Gusts could reach as high as 25 mph, adding a brisk feel to the day.

As night falls, the skies will remain mostly clear, but temperatures will take a dip to around 39 degrees.

Tuesday’s outlook remains sunny with the mercury climbing to a high near 62 degrees. Westerly winds will maintain a presence, blowing at 5 to 10 mph, and might bring gusts of up to 15 mph. By night, the clear skies continue, offering a low around 40 degrees with similar wind conditions.

Midweek, Wednesday promises another sunny day, albeit with cooler high temperatures hovering around 56 degrees.

Thursday’s forecast is sunny with a high near 57 degrees.

Friday morning may start with remnants of fog, but it will clear up by 7 a.m., paving the way for a mostly sunny day with a high near 64 degrees. The night is expected to be mostly clear with a low around 43 degrees.
