The Gist: This morning at around 1:39 a.m., the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding an unoccupied ATV found on the side of Guy Paine Road near San Carlos Drive. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 59-year-old male who had sustained fatal injuries, lying in the road.
What Happened?: The initial investigation suggests that the man had been struck by the same ATV, which had been left unattended earlier. According to Deputy Coroner Richard Robinson, the victim, Billy Darrell White was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:14 a.m.
Sheriff’s officials did not report any other injuries, and there was no indication of another vehicle being involved.
