Halloween’s nearly here, and it looks like you’ll want to add some layers to those superhero capes and princess gowns. According to the National Weather Service, it’s shaping up to be a cold October night.

Tuesday evening is forecasted to bring partly cloudy skies and a low temperature close to 37 degrees. Plus, the winds aren’t playing around; expect them to come from the northwest at 10 to 15 mph, with occasional gusts reaching as high as 25 mph.

So, while the day may offer some mild weather, the evening is shaping up to be a different story. Those planning to collect candy door-to-door should prep for a cold and somewhat windy night. A jacket under that costume? Probably a good call.
