Here’s How You Can Get Rid of Household Hazardous Waste in Roswell

The Gist: Roswell’s fall Household Hazardous Waste Collection event is scheduled for Nov. 4, where residents can drop off specific hazardous household items.

Who: Roswell residents. No commercial entities.

What: Collection of specific household hazardous waste like pesticides, undiluted pool chemicals, household cleaners, propane gas cylinders, and more. Notably, no latex or oil-based paints are accepted.

When: Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Where: 1810 Hembree Road (Not the Roswell Recycling Center).

How to Go: Bring your household hazardous items during the mentioned hours. Make sure not to drop materials prior to the event.

Additional Info: Disposing of latex or oil-based paints? Solidify them with kitty litter or sawdust and place on top of trash containers. Or recycle them at the Roswell Recycling Center with restrictions on quantity and container condition.
