Georgia’s Stuckey’s is taking their love for pecans to a whole new level. The company has recently launched a petition on Change.org to shell out a proposal for a new pecan emoji, and they’re hoping the Unicode Consortium will find it a-cracking idea.

The petition is a heartfelt ode to the beloved pecan, which Stuckey’s deems as “America’s favorite nut.” As autumn rolls in with a crisp breeze, Stuckey’s feels it’s high time that pecan enthusiasts had a proper emoji to go nuts over during text convos.

According to Stuckey’s, pecans aren’t just a treat for the taste buds but also a health nut’s dream, boasting a bunch of essential nutrients.

Yet, despite the nutritional punch and the growing global love for pecans, as noted by a 75% increase in consumption over a decade, our texts and tweets are still pecan-less.

The petition cheekily points out the void in our digital chatter when we can’t visually express our love for pecans or share recipes without the perfect emoji. “The absence of a pecan emoji leaves a void in our digital communication,” laments the petition. And Stuckey’s is keen to fill that void with a pecan-shaped icon.

Stuckey’s message to the world is nutty and nice: “Let’s unite as pecan enthusiasts, nut lovers, and fall season enthusiasts to make this emoji dream a reality.”

The petition is more than a shell game; it’s a call to action for everyone who’s ever felt the crunch of not having the right emoji to express their nutty affections. So, if you want to help crack this case wide open, shell out some support and sign the petition.

With a gentle nudge and a bit of humor, Stuckey’s is hoping to see the pecan emoji pop up on our keyboards soon. They extend a hearty thank you to all who join the cause, hoping that together, they can make the digital world a little nuttier, one emoji at a time.
