ROSWELL — East Roswell Park will be getting upgrades to the tune of $3 million, including infrastructure, dog park improvements, and trail renovations.

The City of Roswell has approved $3 million in capital Improvements to East Roswell Park for 2023. This capital improvements project is a part of the Roswell Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs 5-Year Master Plan and ADA assessment of East Roswell Park.

The $3 million in park improvements will address park needs and will begin with improvements on major infrastructure including storm water, drainage, asphalt repairs/replacement, concrete and sewer repairs.

Once the infrastructure is repaired, the city will move forward with additional improvements including synthetic field replacement, tennis court rebuilding, light pole replacements and trail renovations.

In addition, the project will include improvements to the dog park, ball field light installation on one field with new LED lights and a playground replacement.

The projects are expected to be completed in 12 to 18 months and many of the projects are already in motion at the park.
