The Georgia State Fair starts next week. Here’s what you need to know

Start

While this week’s temperatures may not feel like it, fall is in the air, and that means fair season is upon us.

The Georgia State Fair is returning to Atlanta Motor Speedway next week starting on Friday Sept. 30 and running through Sunday, Oct. 9.

The fair is in its 174th year and festival organizers are promising more attractions than any fair in Georgia.

Attractions at this year’s fair include Hollywood Circus, pig races, The Freakshow Deluxe, an aquatic acrobatic show, Jurassic Kingdom Dinosaur Show, white tigers, and a petting zoo. A full schedule of each day’s events is now available at GeorgiaStateFair.com

The fair also features rides, food, and typical fair fare.

Every day is Ride Wristband Day at the Georgia State Fair. Ride unlimited rides on the day of your visit for just $25 during the week and $30 on Saturdays and Sundays. Discount Wristbands are two for $30 on Tuesday and Thursday.

Ride wristbands can be purchased inside the fair every day at the Georgia State Fair.

Admission to the fair is $10 for adults, $5 for youth ages 5 through 12 and kids under age four are admitted free.

The fair is open from 4 p.m. to midnight on Fridays, 11 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays, and 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.
