16-year-old shot in Macon

MACON — A 16-year-old boy was shot Tuesday night and is currently in critical condition, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office is investigating an aggravated assault incident that was reported to have occurred in the 3300 block of Hollingsworth Road just before midnight.

Upon arrival at the scene, deputies found an unresponsive 16-year-old boy who had been shoot.

He was transported to the Atrium Health Hospital and is listed in critical condition at this time.

The events leading up to the incident are still under investigation. No one else was injured during the incident. 

Sheriff’s officials say they have no information on the suspect yet.
