A boutique hotel on the border of Alpharetta and Milton will not be built. Here's why

Two weeks ago, the city of Alpharetta announced public hearings for a boutique hotel at 12685 Crabapple Road, on a 1.36-acre piece of land that is within Alpharetta city limits, but is surrounded by the city of Milton.

Last week, the application for the 81-room hotel was officially withdrawn by the applicant.

According to Alpharetta officials, the applicant submitted a letter to the city formally withdrawing their application Friday.

The withdrawal closes the public hearings on the case and no further hearings will be held or consideration given to the application.
