Gwinnett County police arrest two men for celebratory gunfire

On Sunday, July 3 Gwinnett County police officers responded to the area of Springs Lane in unincorporated Peachtree Corners in reference to a group of men shooting guns up in the air

When officers arrived, they found 19-year-old Norcross resident Robert Campbell-Landy and 30-year-old Norcross resident Devin Dingle with several handguns, extended magazines, nearly 90 spent shell casings and unfired ammunition.

Police say they spoke with both men who admitted to firing into the air. Both men were arrested and charged with discharging a firearm on private property of another and reckless conduct.

“The Gwinnett Police Department wants everyone to have a safe and happy holiday weekend, but celebratory gunfire can be both dangerous and illegal,” said police department spokesperson Ashley Wilson.

Case Number: GP220054256
