The Cobb County teacher hospitalized for COVID-19 died Christmas Day

The Cobb County Elementary School teacher who was hospitalized last month due to COVID-19 died at the hospital Christmas morning.

Patrick Key, who was an art teacher at Hendricks Elementary School in Powder Springs, Nov. 15 and had been on a ventilator prior to his death.

Key’s passing was announced on a GoFundMe page set up by family members.

“Christmas morning Heaven gained the sweetest angel this morning. Although he fought so very hard, Patrick’s poor body was so tired. He is at peace and we have lost our world. Our hearts are shattered,” the announcement read.

Key’s wife, Priscella, is also a teacher in Cobb County.
