Students in Cherokee County can still get school lunches even while the school system is out for Thanksgiving Break.

The school system is offering a special to-go free meal service for all students during the break.

Meal pick up will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at two locations only — Hasty Elementary School Fine Arts Academy in Canton and Carmel Elementary School in Woodstock — pickup locations can be chosen by parents on the form they fill out. Students do not have to live in each school’s attendance area to pick up there.

All meals will be provided at no cost to all Cherokee County School District students and to any child from 0 to 18 years old. Both sites will distribute seven days’ worth of breakfasts and lunches. This meal service is funded by USDA grants.

To order your meals for pick up Friday, Nov. 20, you can complete the form by clicking on the link below. The Meal Order Form must be submitted by 8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17.
