Water main break puts Fayetteville on boil water advisory

FAYETTEVILLE — A water main break has caused water outages and a boil water advisory in Fayetteville.

The City of Fayetteville Water Department is working a water main break in the area of South Glynn Street (Hwy. 85 South) at the Bradley Drive/Grady Avenue intersection.

Water service to some nearby residents and businesses will be affected. Crews estimate repairs to be complete by 9 p.m.

Please use caution if driving in this area, as crews will be working on the scene.

When water is restored, any customers who experienced low water pressure are being placed on a Boil Water Advisory until such time as water testing is complete and the Boil Water Advisory is lifted.
