Teen robbed in bathroom of Gwinnett County Publix store

SNELLVILLE — A teenager was robbed in the bathroom of a Gwinnett County Publix Monday.

According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, two men confronted and trapped a teenager in the bathroom of the Publix at 3550 Centerville Hwy. in Snellville, where they robbed him of his iPhonehone and Apple AirPods. 

According to the police report, the teen victim was using the bathroom at the Publix location when he was confronted by two men that he didn’t know. The men blocked the door and refused to let the teen leave until he gave them his iPhone and Airpods.

Once the men took the items from the victim they immediately left the store.

The victim told officers that one of the men had a tattoo of cursive letters over his left eye.  Both men were captured on video surveillance while they were in the store.

The police department is asking for assistance from the public in identifying these two suspects.
