The GBI was asked by the Rockmart Police Department to assist in two double homicide cases that occurred Jan. 24. At about 8:01 pm, Polk County 911 reported two separate double homicides, one on Williamson Street and one on Rome street in Rockmart.

The victims at the Williamson Street location were 48-year old Helen Rose Mitchell and 19-year-old Jaequnn Davis, both of whom died. 24-year-old Peerless Brown was hospitalized during the incident.

On Rome street the victims have been identified as 24-year-old Arkeyla Perry and 26-year-old Dadrian Cummings.

The investigation has involved 3 GBI Regional Offices, Rockmart Police Department, Polk County Police Department, Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, Haralson Paulding Drug Task Force, Cedartown Police Department, Cartersville Police Department, FBI, and the U.S. Marshal’s Service.

Police say Gamble is also accused of shooting a fifth victim who was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center and is being treated for his injuries.
