A fire destroyed a vacant home on Snellville’s Main Street early Monday morning.

Gwinnett County Firefighters were alerted to the blaze by several 911 callers who reported a building on fire near the Renasant Bank and Krystal.

When crews arrived on the scene they found a one-story home with a basement engulfed in flames. While investigators say they know the fire originated near the front of the home, they were unable to determine a cause of the fire due to the extensive damage.

No one was injured in the blaze and the home is vacant and under the care of an executor for an estate. Firefighters were informed that family members do visit the home regularly for routine upkeep.
