A long-planned redevelopment project is set to overhaul the Hill Street area across from Roswell City Hall, turning it into a vibrant hub for shopping, dining, and living.
With new commercial spaces, homes, and public parking, the project promises to reshape the area and boost the local economy.
What’s Happening: The Hill Street Mixed-Use Development will include 80,000 square feet of space for offices, retail, and restaurants, 143 apartments, and 14 townhomes. A new parking facility with 485 spaces, funded by the city, will serve both the development and the wider area, addressing long-standing parking challenges.
Follow The Money: The development will generate new revenue streams for the city, including lease payments, property taxes, and shared revenue from sales, helping to keep property taxes low for the community.
A Smarter Approach: This plan replaces a 2019 proposal, expanding the commercial footprint nearly eightfold while reducing residential density. City officials say by prioritizing economic impact, the project focuses on sustainable growth and increased accessibility.
What’s Next: Commercial spaces along Hill and Atlanta streets must be completed and occupied before residential units are built. Construction timelines and further details are expected to be announced soon as the city and Atlantic Companies finalize plans.
