Are you planning to go to the Peach Drop on New Year’s Eve? Here’s what you need to know

Underground Atlanta is playing host to Atlanta's New Year's Eve Peach Drop once again this year and if you're planning to go there are a few things you should know. If you're not planning to go, but will be downtown, you're also going to need to know about road closures.

Underground Atlanta is playing host to Atlanta’s New Year’s Eve Peach Drop once again this year and if you’re planning to go there are a few things you should know. If you’re not planning to go, but will be downtown, you’re also going to need to know about road closures.

How to Get In: Admission is free, and tickets are not required. Entrances are on Peachtree Street, Marietta Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Ride share drop off and pickup will be on Ted Turner Drive.

The Performers: Jagged Edge & 112 “The Experience” and “Better Than Ezra” will highlight the event along with several local Atlanta performers.

Road Closures: Road Closures will begin at 3:30 p.m., so even if you aren’t attending the event and have to work on New Year’s Eve, your commute could be affected. The following roads will be closed:

  • Peachtree Street to Wall Street
  • Wall Street to Central Avenue
  • Central Avenue to Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard
  • Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard to Peachtree Street

Other Reminders: The City of Atlanta is reminding attendees to leave their weapons at home and to remember to bundle up because temperatures may be cold.
