A serious collision between a bicyclist and a truck on Paces Ferry Road left one man hospitalized with significant injuries on Wednesday morning.

Just The Facts: A 42-year-old Atlanta man was seriously injured in the crash, which took place around 9:18 a.m. at the intersection of Paces Ferry Road and Teton Drive. The cyclist was riding his blue Trek 7500 bicycle along the sidewalk and entered the crosswalk as a 2021 Ford F750, driven by a 65-year-old from Winder, turned left onto Teton Drive.

During the turn, the cyclist collided with the truck and was pulled underneath the vehicle. He remained trapped under the truck until emergency personnel arrived and extricated him.

The man was rushed to WellStar Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries, while the driver of the truck was unharmed.
