Residents and business owners impacted by the recent BioLab fire now have a dedicated Community Assistance Center to access support. BioLab, in coordination with the Unified Command, opened the center yesterday to help those affected by the fire at the company’s Conyers facility. The Unified Command, which includes the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Georgia Environmental Protection Division, Rockdale County, and BioLab, continues its active efforts to address the community’s needs.
Community Assistance Center Details:
The center, located at 927 North Main Street NW, is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Residents and business owners can visit for help with claims and reimbursement appointments, as well as general support related to the fire incident.
Appointments are encouraged and can be scheduled online at BioLabCommunityResources.com. Walk-in visits are also welcome, though availability is limited. For assistance scheduling appointments, the BioLab hotline is available at (678) 301-2359.

“Our priority is ensuring that the local community has access to all necessary resources in the wake of this event,” said Deputy Chief Jimmy Robinson from Rockdale County Fire Rescue. “BioLab has told us they will do whatever it takes—for as long as it takes—to support our community. To that end, this center will serve as a resource for residents, providing financial assistance, answering questions, and providing the support our community needs during this time.”
Ongoing Safety Measures for Residents:
• Air Quality Monitoring: The Environmental Protection Agency continues monitoring air quality, making real-time data accessible to the public. While chlorine levels have decreased, residents are advised to avoid areas where odors persist.
• Shelter-in-Place Orders: Although the shelter-in-place order has been lifted for most areas, it remains in effect within a two-mile radius of the BioLab facility. Residents within this area should stay indoors, with windows and doors closed, and HVAC systems turned off.
• Debris Clean-Up: BioLab is also offering free fire-related debris removal services. Residents can request removal by emailing DebrisPickup@biolabinc.com.
