  • Unsalted or salted butter
  • Light or dark brown sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • Milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to Make Christmas Cracker Candy

1. Preheat oven to 350 F degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Alternate the saltine crackers in a single layer on the bottom of tray.

2. Place the butter, brown sugar and vanilla extract in a medium-sized saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil. Reduce the heat to medium and continue to boil for 5 minutes stirring the mixture as it cooks (please set a timer).

3. Pour the hot mixture over the crackers. Spread to evenly coat the crackers.

4. Place tray in the oven and bake for 3-5 minutes. Turn off the heat. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the warm caramel.
