Look: Dylan Raiola throws first Buford touchdown in showdown with St. Frances Academy

Get your popcorn ready. The Dylan Raiola era at Buford is officially underway

Raiola, the nation’s top-ranked recruit in the class of 2024, wasted little time showcasing his skill in his debut Friday night with nationally-ranked Buford (Georgia).

With No. 7 Buford hosting No. 4 St. Frances Academy in a season opening battle between two SBLive/Sports Illustrated Power 25 squads, Raiola helped Buford go ahead early.

Raiola, a Georgia commit, connected with North Carolina commit TyShun White in the first quarter to give the Wolves the first score of the game.

Raiola and Buford continued building their lead in the second quarter, as the five-star signal caller connected with five-star safety KJ Bolden, who recently committed to Florida State, to put the Wolves ahead by two scores.

Raiola transferred to Buford from Chandler (Arizona) this summer following one season at the school. He began his high school career at Burleson (Texas).

Once an Ohio State commit, Raiola backed off that decision in December and committed to Georgia in May.

The 6-foot-3 senior is the nation’s No. 1 quarterback and No. 1 overall recruit for the class of 2024, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
