The Gist: Five individuals have been apprehended and charged with multiple felony drug offenses following a months-long investigation into a fentanyl distribution organization operating in Jackson and Banks Counties. The suspects were taken into custody during arrests that occurred on June 29, 2023.
The Suspects:
- William “Faye” Lomack, (48) of Maysville, was arrested during a traffic stop in Commerce. The police say they discovered approximately 450 grams of suspected fentanyl, two firearms, and a large sum of cash in his possession.
- Tony Clough, (54) of Marion, VA, was also arrested during the traffic stop alongside Lomack. Police say Clough was found to be in possession of trafficking amounts of fentanyl, firearms, and other related charges.
- Chante Presley (28) of Richland, VA, was apprehended at a motel in Commerce. Presley was charged with trafficking fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, and possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance.
- Nicole Pressley (37) of Maysville, was arrested at a home connected to Lomack in Maysville. Pressley faces charges of trafficking fentanyl, trafficking methamphetamine, and several other drug-related offenses.
- Stephanie “Sticks” Guthrie (38) of Winder, was present at the motel with Chante Presley but was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Guthrie has been charged with trafficking fentanyl and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.
Search warrants were executed at a Commerce motel and the Maysville home linked to Lomack. Police seized additional quantities of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, and firearms at these locations. Overall, this major operation highlights the trafficking of dangerous drugs within the region.
