What you need to know before attending the Wings Over North Georgia Air Show

 The 10th annual Wings Over North Georgia Air Show takes flight this week on Oct. 15 and 16.  

The two-day event will be hosted at the Russell Regional Airport in Rome and will feature the A-10 Thunderbolt II Tactical Demonstration Team and the launch of the newly formed AirShow Racing Series. There will also be performances by a number of world-class civilian performers and demonstrations by the Georgia State Patrol SWAT Helicopter Team and Dobbins ARB 94th Airlift Wing.

For the first time since 2019, the celebrated Parade of Veterans Military Tribute will return with hundreds of active and former members of the military marching in front of the air show crowd in a tribute to the U.S. Armed Forces. On Sunday, the parade will be led by Grand Marshall and WWII veteran U.S. Air Force Col. Harry Andonian.

The Schedule:

Weather:         The weather forecast during show hours indicates highs in the mid 70’s.  With the possibility of bright sunny days for the weekend, sunscreen is recommended.  

Parking:         Onsite parking tickets are available by advance purchase only
