LUMPKIN COUNTY — Local law enforcement agencies throughout Georgia are showing residents what it means to serve the community during the difficult times caused by COVID-19. One example is happening now in Lumpkin County.

Lumpkin County Sheriff Stacy Jarrard has volunteered to deliver medication to elderly residents in the county who are unable to get to the pharmacy during the coronavirus pandemic.

Jarrard said in a video posted on Youtube that he was working with several area pharmacies to provide these services.

Elderly residents interested in having a member of the sheriff’s department deliver their medication will need to contact the pharmacy first to arrange the pick up.
