A tornado watch is in effect until 6 p.m. for parts of coastal and southeast Georgia.

A tornado watch is in effect until 6 p.m. for parts of coastal and southeast Georgia.

Hazardous weather with the possibilities of tornadoes is expected, along with some flooding of the Savannah River on Friday.

Hazardous weather is not in the forecast for Saturday.

Counties included in the tornado watch are:

Baldwin, Bryan, Bulloch, Burke, Candler, Chatham, Columbia, Dodge, Effingham, Emanuel, Evans, Glascock, Hancock, Jefferson, Jenkins, Johnson, Laurens, Liberty, Lincoln, Long, McDuffie, McIntosh, Montgomery, Richmond, Screven, Taliaferro, Tattnall, Telfair, Toombs, Truetlen, Warren, Washington, Wheeler, Wilkes and Wilkinson.
