MACON — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic collision involving a midsized Macon Transit Authority Bus and a Subaru sport utility vehicle. The collision was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at about 5:54 p.m. Thursday.
According to witness statements, the Subaru was making a left turn from Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, onto Cherry Street. The MTA bus was traveling south on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The bus collided with the Subaru at the intersection and the Subaru flipped over. The bus then rolled on top of the Subaru.
The Macon Transit Bus had six passengers and a driver. The Subaru had a driver and one passenger. The drivers and passengers from both vehicles were transported to the Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance.
According to the Atrium Health Navicent, all of the occupants from both vehicles are listed to be in stable condition.
