A man wanted in connection with two deaths at an East Perimeter Pointe apartment complex was taken into custody just before midnight Monday.

🚨 Why It Matters: Christopher Mathis had been the subject of an hours-long manhunt after police say two people were found dead in what investigators believe was a domestic incident.

⏱️ What Happened: DeKalb County Police responded to the East Perimeter Pointe Apartments in Decatur around 7:45 p.m. Monday. Officers found an adult man and an adult woman dead inside an apartment.

Detectives identified Mathis as the suspect and warned the public he was driving a black Jeep Renegade. Authorities urged anyone who spotted him not to approach.

Henry County Police took Mathis into custody around midnight. He was transported to DeKalb County Jail.
