If you’re planning a study session at Mountain View Regional Library next week, you’ll need to find a new spot. The library on Sandy Plains Road in Marietta is closing for three days—September 11 through 13—to replace its entrance doors.

Here’s what you need to know:

The closure basics

The library shuts down Thursday morning and reopens Sunday, September 14. During those three days, you can’t browse the shelves or use the study spaces, but the library isn’t leaving you completely bookless.

You can still get your holds

Got books waiting for you? The library’s offering curbside pickup while the door work happens. Just fill out their online form at https://bit.ly/4m2uL4w to schedule a pickup time.

Pickup hours:

  • Thursday and Friday: 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

When you arrive, follow the outdoor signs to find the pickup spot.

Book drops stay open

Need to return something? The book drops will work normally throughout the closure, so you won’t rack up any late fees because of the construction.

The temporary closure affects only the Mountain View location at 3320 Sandy Plains Road. Other Cobb County libraries remain open with regular hours.
