A 43-year-old Macon women was previously thought to have been stabbed, but autopsy results conclude she was hit by a vehicle.

  • This fatal accident took place at 4900 Block at Bloomfield Road, and the call was made to the Macon-Bibb Emergency-911 Center at 10:40 a.m.
  • On January 27, the victim’s autopsy results reveal she was actually hit by a vehicle.
  • While previously thought to have been stabbed, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation uncovered it was instead an impact wound.
  • When asked about the discrepancy, a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said the wounds appeared to deputies to have been inflicted by a sharp object.
  • Officials are still working to piece together the cause of this incident.
