A 36-year-old Buford man is facing multiple charges after police tied him to package thefts at his apartment complex and found drugs in his home.
What Happened: Residents on Laurel Crossing Parkway reported several stolen packages from their community mail room. Police reviewed surveillance footage and identified a suspect who lived in the complex. Officers arrested him without incident on November 26.
A search of his apartment revealed multiple stolen packages, along with marijuana and anabolic steroids.
Charges: The man is being held at the Gwinnett County Jail and faces charges of porch piracy, theft by taking, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, possession of drug-related objects, and possession of more than one ounce of marijuana. Police say additional charges are possible as the investigation continues.
