MARTA is ringing in the holiday season with a series of festive events and activities designed to spread cheer throughout Atlanta. From holiday markets and free bus rides to live performances and family-friendly activities, the transit authority invites residents and visitors alike to celebrate the season.
The celebrations begin with the second annual MARTA Holiday Market on Thursday, November 21, at West End Station from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Attendees can browse local vendor booths for unique gifts, sample complimentary treats, and enjoy live entertainment. The event will also showcase MARTA’s holiday-themed buses and feature giveaways, including the transit system’s popular ugly holiday sweaters.
“Our holiday market is the perfect opportunity to come together to kick start the season and get your hands on our always popular ugly holiday sweater,” said MARTA General Manager and CEO Collie Greenwood. “This is also a chance for us to celebrate our customers and thank them for riding MARTA and supporting us year ‘round.”
