• The Georgia Promise Scholarship offers up to $6,500 annually to K-12 students in lower-performing schools. Funds cover private school tuition, tutoring, therapy services, and other qualified education expenses.

• Parents can manage these funds through an education savings account and pay for services directly via the website.

• Odyssey, a financial services platform developer, has partnered with GESA to build the user-friendly site.

Eligibility and Access:

• Students must reside in public school zones ranking in the bottom 25% of Georgia schools.

• They must have been enrolled in a Georgia public school for a year or be rising kindergarteners.

• Parents must have been Georgia residents for at least a year, with some exceptions for active-duty military families.

What It Covers:

• Tuition, certified tutoring, textbooks, therapy services, and transportation (up to $500 annually).

• Unused funds can carry forward into the next academic year, up to 50%.

Application and Launch Timeline:

• Applications for the program open in Spring 2025 for the Fall 2025 semester.

• The GESA Board of Directors has finalized regulations for the program, accessible on the website.
