Cobb and Douglas Public Health is offering a one-time water bill credit of up to $250 for Cobb County homeowners who get their septic tanks pumped, thanks to a grant from the American Rescue Plan Act.

Homeowners participating in the program will receive a credit, capped at $250, based on the actual service cost, after having their septic tanks pumped by a state-approved provider. To qualify, services must be completed by September 30, 2026, or until the grant funds run out, whichever comes first.

This program is designed to promote regular septic tank maintenance, aiming to prevent system failures, protect water quality, and ensure a cleaner environment.

Homeowners interested in enrolling can sign up here. For additional details, contact Cobb and Douglas Public Health at cdph.environmentalhealth@dph.ga.gov or call 770-435-7815.
