ATLANTA — A collaborative effort between the MARTA Police Criminal and the Atlanta Police Department Fugitive Task Force has resulted in the arrest of a suspect connected to a fatal shooting at the Arts Center MARTA Station.
The Details: The shooting occurred on August 11, around 9 p.m., when a man was shot multiple times in the bus loop at the Arts Center Station. Officers responded swiftly and provided aid, but the victim was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The suspect fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
By the following day, MARTA Police secured arrest warrants for 38-year-old Xavier Mosley.
Arrest Made:
On August 14, Police executed a search warrant at Mosley’s Atlanta residence. Mosley was apprehended without incident and was subsequently transported to the Fulton County Jail.
Charges Filed: Mosley now faces multiple charges, including Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. Additionally, he has been permanently banned from using MARTA services.
