In the early hours of Wednesday, Macon, Georgia, became the focus of three separate death investigations by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, following incidents reported in quick succession across different locations within the city.
Incident at Haven Inn and Suites
The first incident was reported at 3:20 a.m. at the Haven Inn and Suites, at 105 Holiday Drive North. Bibb County deputies arrived at the scene in response to a report of a person shot. There, they found 28-year-old Anthonio Dewayne McNeill of Macon with gunshot wounds.
Despite treatment efforts, McNeill was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Richard Robinson. McNeill’s next of kin has been notified. The Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation to determine the circumstances leading up to the shooting. They have called for anyone with information to come forward.
Ruark Circle Case
At about 4:23 a.m., deputies responded to another call within the 3000 block of Ruark Circle. A man was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Richard Robinson.
The identity of the deceased has not been released as the investigation into the incident continues. Authorities are gathering information and have requested public assistance in the case.
Winston Drive Discovery
The third shooting occurred in the 2000 block of Winston Drive, where, at about 5:29 a.m., a 42-year-old man was discovered unresponsive with gunshot wounds inside a blue Chevrolet Blazer in the backyard of a residence.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Richard Robinson. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Investigators are working to uncover the details surrounding the incident and are seeking information from the public.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating these incidents and has not indicated any connection between the cases.
