📰 The Details: Cobb County Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident involving several vehicles on I-75 Northbound. The collision occurred just south of Cumberland Boulevard at 3:01 AM on January 2, 2024.
The initial collision between the Honda and the Volkswagen triggered a series of subsequent crashes. 2-23-year-old Steven Slaymaker, after exiting his Volkswagen to check on the Honda’s driver, was struck by a Kia K5 and pronounced dead at the scene. One victim was transported to Grady Hospital and two others were taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with minor injuries.
