The calendar indicates a total of 160 student learning days and includes 10 designated days for teacher professional learning, emphasizing the district’s commitment to both educational excellence and continuous staff development.
The school year is set to commence in August, with pre-planning for teachers beginning on August 14 and classes start on August 21. Families can prepare for key holiday breaks, including a fall break in October and the traditional Thanksgiving break in November, allowing time for rest and family gatherings.
The winter season brings a longer break starting December 19, extending into the new year until January 7, to celebrate the festive season and the start of 2025.
Calhoun County’s calendar is marked with several other non-instructional days, such as Labor Day on September 2, Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 20, and a winter break in February.
